The Adair County High School Color Guard is an essential component of the Adair County band program. Currently, approximately 25-30 students participate in the Color Guard. The fall program emphasizes performance skills in movement, dance, flags, and rifles. A number of members have a background in dance and bring those skills to the program.
Forming in the 2014-15 school year the Adair County High School Winter Guard was created to continue the performance skills of Color Guard into the winter and spring months. The Winter Guard is selected by audition only. Many of the Color Guard and Winter Guard members also participate in the Concert Band program, but several are enrolled in our Creative Movement class. In this class students learn the fundamentals of dance and visual performing arts. The Color Guard and Winter Guard are under the direction of Mr. Justin Clark, Mrs. Natalie Goodin-Walker, and Ms. Hailey Hare.
